Taffy4.0: I have had several of these tongs from various suppliers and they all have eventually failed at the rivit. These seem better made with a larger overlap. They are a good size and work well with a bit of weight to them so seem a quality product. Have only given 4 stars as have no idea on reliability as yet. Time will tell!
Cookie Milton5.0: I bought this as there are times in the kitchen when it is easier to use tongs as opposed to a turner or spoon. Turning over steaks chicken breasts pork chops and anything else that can be grabbed is easier with tongs.The locking mechanism is easy and works well – you simply pull out and push in the ring on the end. These tongs will lock with the ends closed together for a ‘neater’ appearance.The silicone tips have a rubbery feel though they are easy to wash. Once you run them under hot water they feel very smooth.30cm is an ideal length for use in the kitchen. I probably would not use them on a barbecue – I would favour some extra length – as I would prefer some all metal tongs.
Boyoh4.0: These tongs work very well. However you have to exercise care not to trap your finger when picking up small objects. It feels as though you might be cut but that has not happened because the edges are not really sharp.
