Overall this was a great pair of tongs due to the locking feature to store them compactly. It lasted about 3 1/2 years of regular home kitchen use including the dishwasher before the black locking tip/lug broke and it woudln’t lock closed anymore (just as one user experienced after dropping it)…but we still kept using it here and there…until another 6 months later and hte spring broke and it won’t open either. Given that there are other tongs out there much nicer modern deisgns for less…this one goes to the metal recycling bin.

I love these. They have a nice “locking mechanism” so that they’re easy to store plus they look nice while also being practical so that you can use them to toss a salad in the kitchen and then feel good about bringing them to the table for serving.
