When the tins arrive they look great they are solid and heavy weight.Despite being non-stick I always use greaseproof non-stick parchment to line the bases and sides.These tins leak with loose cake mixtures (even when lined) so I would advise placing the cake tins on a baking tray to avoid having burnt cake mixture on the base of your oven (or on the cake below it).They are not easy to clean if you have a loose mixture as the cooked cake gets caught in the lip of the base and the lip of the sides.Within a couple a month of daily use the non stick peels off in the area around where the base attaches to the sides.Sadly these tins were not designed to be stackable so not as easy to store as could have been the case.Despite my comments these are very good tins and probably the best that I have come across. John Lewis sells a very similar tin with their name on it at twice the price

I am giving 5 stars on look & feel of the product at the moment. Beautiful pan feels strong. Worth the money (cheaper than high street) I like it.I will update after I have used it.UPDATEI love it. Brilliant for making Cheesecakes. Still a slight leak. I always put a pan on the bottom of the oven. I also put a circle of greaseproof paper on the bottom. I would order different sizes if possible

Wow!This pan is far more robust than others I have seen in the past. The spring mechanism works well and the product has a good weight to it. Useful to provide a uniform heat around the entire pan.It uses a non-toxic non-stick surface which is always good to see and comes printed with the size on the side of the pan itself- a nice touch.Easy to line with paper (although not often required) and no dripping of cake mixture around the base. If you have a particularly liquid mix I would advise that you stay away from spring-form although this is able to handle an average batter well without drips.We partnered this product with a 15cm (  Master Class Non-Stick Quick-Release Springform Cake Tin with Loose Base 15 cm (6″)  ) and a 20cm (  Master Class Non-Stick Loose Base Spring Form Cake Pan 20 cm  ) tin of the same brand and type which fit together well to provide a nice nest – very easy to store.More expensive than alternatives but this product definitely has the quality you should look for if you want a long-lasting pan.

I bought to make a wedding cake. On arrival I thought they were fine put them away and brought them out to use. Ahh They weren’t completely round and not level see photos. Also the removable base has a rim/lefge on inside so edges of cake aren’t clean and look like someone has nibbled edge of cake. It’s a pity as they good quality metal. Noticed to late to return 😪

Really surprised at quality of this tin.Its heavy an thickno flimsy bendy metal here.Its lovely and deep and the quick release bottom works great.My and my daughter baked a cake yesterday ‘the first time we’ve baked in a long time’ and it came out great was thick enough to split in 2 and sandwich together with jam.Real quality Tin that I feel will last for a very long time if cared for properly.Its very easy to clean if you wash bottom and sides apart there is no were for pesky crumbs to catch
