Amazon Customer5.0: I’m a baker and have been baking for over 30 years. Just received my Fat Daddio tube pan yesterday. Used it to make my 5 flavor pound cake which turned out beautiful!!! I greased and floured the pan first and the cake came out perfectly clean without sticking. I usually use a Bundt pan but my 5 flavor pound cake is too big for a Bundt so I was in need of a bigger tube pan and my search is over thanks to Fat Daddio. If you get this tube pan you will NOT be disappointed. I love love love my new Fat Daddio Tub Pan!!! The reviews that said their Angel Food cake stuck didn’t bother me because I don’t make Angel Food cakes and have no intention of doing so.
Patricia Millington3.0: This cake pan is sturdy cleans up easily & with proper treatment your cake doesn’t stick. BUT I do have 2 concerns about the pan & getting the cakes out. I’m assuming that everyone does like I do & uses a flipping plate for getting the cake out. First concern: the tube part is taller than the sides so when you try to flip the cake the plate wobbles & is hard to hold onto. Second concern: in order to flip the cake you need a lip on the top edge so you can get a grip with your fingers & this pan has only a large spaghetti type roll at the top & your fingers slip right off. I guess I’ll go back to using the antique pan I inherited from my Grandmother. I was sooo excited about this pan & ended up disappointed.
Cocobrigida1.0: The pan comes with a label glued to bottom of the inside of the pan. It’s glued with a rubber cement type glue which I normally find very easy to remove from products. Not this one. The surface of the pan is ribbed so the glue cannot be removed. Tried dish soap De-Solvit Goo Gone and even tried using duct tape to pull up the glue. Nothing works. The glue is apparently permanent. Not exactly what I want on the surface of a cake pan. Also after reading other buyer’s reviews I have concerns about differences between the pans made in China vs. Indonesia. The pan I received with the permanent glue was made in China.
