I was excited to purchase this grill top. Nordic usually makes top quality products. The grill was a heavy metal. Seemingly well made. Good size and had handles and sides. Perfect?! We used it once on the grill. After one use the metal bubbled and had some white discoloration. We couldn’t even clean it! Non-stick? Not so! The warranty (5 year) guarantees free from defects under normal use except improper cleaning cooking oils and overheating! So…you purchase a product to use on a grill (hot) and cooking oils might ruin it? Makes no sense. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

Although this outdoor grill topper does cook evenly it is NOT nonstick and it is very hard to clean. When I went back to Amazon to reread the fine print it says not to use oil on it. Since just about everything I cook on it especially fish scallops vegetables and shrimp are marinated before cooking this is just not a reasonable restriction to my mind. Very disappointing.

This Grill Topper Pan is way superior to any I have ever seen. It is constructed of heavy duty stainless steel mand will likely last me my lifetime. It was my choice for grilling fish as the fish tends to fall apart and down thru the BBQ grill rack when trying to flip the fish. After proper seasoning of the Grill Topper a light coating of spray oil keeps the fish from sticking to the grill topper. This item is truly a God-send.

I’ve used it once now but I’ve already noticed that the teflon (or whatever the non-stick coating is) easy very easy to scrape off. Thus far it hasn’t warped and it was pretty easy to clean up the basic dish washing liquid. I think the bottom line is – don’t expect high quality coating and you won’t be disappointed.
