heavy in the hand awkward to load and press the crusher slicer blades bent and persistently dropping out of the case within 6 months of purchase!It feels like a good quality product and is heavy in the hand but to be honest it sits unused in the drawer.Why? The complicated crusher mechanism needs help to find its slot and if theres a decent sized clove of Garlic in there you have to push it in with your thumb! Seriously.The slicer blade we use less but is now mysteriously twisted and bent. Upon investigation it sits in a soft-ish plastic surround that has failed so the integrity of the whole product rests upon this cheap component. Non – Sustainable design work!

I would say this in no better or worse than our old garlic press in the actual “mashing” department however there are two things you should know before buying this.1. It is very heavy and so not easy for anyone with physcial impairment or weakness in hands.2. It is difficult toi clean. The slicer section removes but the press section doesn’t meaning a lot of awkward scrubbing with bottle brushes and digging with forks or cocktail sticks.So fine if you want to show off in the kitchen but in some ways less practical than cheaper ones I’ve had in the past.

Needed a new garlic press didn’t know what to go for then spotted this and wondered if it would meet my needs because some of the reviews were a bit negative. Well…. the price was right so I went ahead and ordered one and I’m very glad that I did!The head is in 2 sections one for pressing and the other for slicing – does what it says on the tin. Found the press to be really good garlic crushed more than enough to release the oils and cook evenly. Most of the left over bits and skin come out easily and although its not quite as easy to clean as my old press it isn’t too difficult or time consuming. I haven’t used the slicer as much but no real problems with the blade system and happy enough with the slivers I’ve scattered into some of my dishes.Happy with my purchase looking to a long and tasty relationship with my slice ‘n’ press!

A terrible garlic press. You can choose to put your garlic into a normal press or the slicing section just in case you don’t have any knives to chop the garlic. But the two openings and two presses’ means it’s impossible to put more than 1 clove at a time. Also it seems to just clog up so you loose half the clove. It’s weight is fantastic and feels like it will last for years. Mine will. Its at the back of the draw a a spare in case I loose the one I bought two weeks later out of sheer frustration.

I’ve owned this product for quite a few years and it’s still working well and I’m good condition. It’s constructed of very sturdy metal easy to use and easy to clean. It’s been in dishwasher 100’s of times and no signs of wear. Would 1000% recommend
